Congress

29.06.2020 - 02.07.2020 14th European Headache Federation Congress (EHF)

The European Headache Federation Congress (EHF) aims to enhance networking and scientific exchange within the headache expert community of scientists and clinicians, and is a great meeting for young and early career researchers in the field to present their work. EHF 2020 will be chaired by Prof. Zaza Katsarava (Evangelical Hospital Unna, Germany) and Dr. Richard B. Lipton (Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY, USA). The theme this year is “Head over ache: Silver lining novel treatments,” which emphasizes the commitment to elaborate on novel treatments currently being researched in the headache field.

Neurologybytes covered migraine at EHF in past years, where insights were shared about the societal impact of migraine, migraine with aura, and anti-CGRP monoclonal antibodies, among additional topics. This year there will be a full scientific session on migraine, and in a second full block, Dr. Hans-Christoph Diener (University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany) and Dr. Michel D. Ferrari (Leiden University Medical Centre, Netherlands) have been invited to speak on current migraine clinical trials. Dr. Karl Messlinger (Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany) has also been invited to speak on migraine and neuropathic pain. The program is still preliminary and subject to change, but will surely be packed with more intriguing subjects surrounding migraine and other headache disorders.
